Query Submission Form

This is the place to ask specific questions and seek help around those "brick walls". Your submission will be reviewed by the Webmaster and then posted in the Query Lookup Table for all others to see. ALL FIELDS ARE REQUIRED. It is expected that responses will come to you by email, but if you prefer or if you will allow persons to contact you via US Postal Service . . . put your home address in the text of your query at the bottom of this page. We highly recommend that you DO NOT include your home phone number.

(e.g. "Joe Stratton", "Children of Joe Stratton", "Marriage of Joe Stratton", "Birthplace of Joe Stratton" or "Military Records of Joe Stratton".) You will be able to enter more details in the next section.

Please enter the text of your query below. Remember to list the connection to the Birmingham or Jefferson County, Alabama area if there is one. Be as specific as you can. Focus on a single person, event, place, or fact, then give as many details as you can. Be complete, but be concise. Use phrases instead of sentences, but do not use unfamiliar abbreviations. Use upper and lower case letters, but use only upper case letters for all SURNAMES . . to catch the reader's eye. Remember, a good query is similar to a job applicant's resume; it must attract the reader, then deliver the pertinent information without taking too much of the reader's time.

Here's a good example: "Need marriage information for Joe STRATTON, born in Marion County, AL, near Melbourne (once called Hudsonville) His heirs moved to Lowndes Co. MS then to Jefferson Co. AL. Marriage to Melinda SEWELL should have occurred between 1866 and 1875 in Marion Co. area. Three known children, Mary, Vera, and Charles. Mary, thought ot be the oldest, born aprox. June 1868. Can find no records or references to marriage at Marion Co. courthouse, nor Alabama State Archives."
